28 May 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 28th May [1887]. Mr Boehm the sculptor & his 2 daughters came to luncheon & Henry went with Boehm to Mercator & returned at 5. Mr Tugwell came to PCC. We went out all after tea in gondola. Nela & I called on the Montalbas & found them at home. Malcolm gave us the box at the Fenice for tonight but Tamagno was ill & it is put off till tomorrow. We went out in the evening. Henry & the girls went to hear the singing & dropped me at the Edens & I spent an hour with them.
