8 June 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 8th [June 1887]. Rather better. Got up for lunch. Did not go out—sat reading & working in my bedroom– Mrs Brown came up to see me & remained a long time. Went out with the others in gondola after dinner. Lovely moonlit night. Remained under the giardinetto to hear the music. The proofs of our photographs came today. Mine thought good. | |
