12 June 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 12th [June 1887]. Ola & Nela went to the service at the Contarini degli Scrigni Palace without me. I read—wrote memo for my will– Made cigarettes till luncheon at 2. At 3.30 Henry & I went to call on Css Brandolin & to bid good bye to her mother who leaves for Milan tonight. We returned home to pick up Ola & Sir Francis and went to see the Edens at their garden. Found no one there but Edith Bronson. I picked a lot of flowers & arranged them as soon as I came home. Henry took all the others to see the procession at the Canareggio & we dined when they returned at 8. At 10.30 Sir Francis & Mr Alston went off to the station to return to England.
