22 June 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 22nd [June 1887]. Henry & I breakfasted at 9.30. The girls had their breakfasts in bed. At 12.30 Mr Malcolm came to see us to settle about our going up to Longarone on Saturday next. Lunch at 1.30. Mrs Ramsay & Miss Garden called, the two old ladies I had known in Spain. We all 4 went out at 3.30 to the Edens’ garden. Found Edith Bronson there & Ersilia & Maria Cozzi came there– Had tea. I returned home with Ersilia. Not feeling very well had to lie down. Idita came to see me for a new minutes. I went to bed at 7. Henry took the girls out rowing after dinner.
