28 June 1887 — La Punta, Longarone | |
Tuesday. 28th [June 1887]. Breakfast in our rooms at 8. Mended my dress & did not get ready till lunch at 1. Read from the Excursion aloud to the girls while they worked in afternoon– Went for a walk on the other side of the river after tea at 4 but were driven home by a threatening storm which came down as soon as we came home and the long wished for rain was most welcome. I read aloud to the girls till dinner time at 7.30. Played patience in the evening as it rained & we could not sit out of doors. | |
