31 October 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 31st [October 1887]. Gave out stores. Lace lesson. Kate sat to me. Mr Brown came to lunch & had a view of Mama’s collection of cards afterwards. Henry took Kate to the Concert at the Exhibition given on the occasion of the closing & they did not return till nearly dinner time. I went out with Lady Gregory leaving cards in gondola. We dined early as there was to be illuminations in the Piazza but the rain prevented it. | |
