10 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 10th [November 1887]. Morelli left for Florence by the early train so we did not see him. I woke with a headache & was unable to get up & was very bad all day. It was splendid weather & the others were out all day. Ersilia came to see me about 5 & had tea in my bedroom. Cecil Alderson arrived from England by 7.40 train. Henry went in evening to play whist at the Canevaro’s—for the first time he had been to their new house.
