30 November 1887 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 30th [November 1887]. Modelled & hope to finish my bust soon– After lunch went out in gondola with Henry and I went for a moment to see Ersilia & then we went to Biraghi’s & from there walked home. Tea in the drawing room. Mr & Mrs & Miss Brackett called & later Sr Richeri an Italian naval officer a nice young man. Henry went to the station to meet Ola Du Cane who came out to stay with us, travelling under the care of Lady Trevelyans daughters. Cortelazzo left us this morning early to return to Vicenza. Patience in the evening. | |
