6 January 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Friday. 6th [January 1888]. Went to call on Ersilia Canevaro in the afternoon & saw her & found her son who had typhoid is much better. The Trevelyan girls Pauline, Beatrice & Madeleine dined with us & we had the trio practise in the evening to which Mr & Mrs Brown came & we enjoyed our music very much & we had the much liked Rubinstein Trio.
