13 February 1888 — Rome | |
Monday. 13th February [1888]. Henry better & got up. Mrs Kennedy called for me & took me to see the things prepared to send to the Women’s Industry section of the Glasgow Exhibition & I returned to lunch at the Hotel. We dined at Mr & Mrs Haseltines in the splendid apartment at the Allieri Palace—& after dinner went into his studio & saw his pictures—mostly landscapes– The apartment is beautiful & full of pretty things very well arranged. Miss & Mrs Bruce, the Gregorys, Mr Pantaleoni & Mrs Halbutt. | |
