11 March 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 11th March [1888]. Sat with Ola & read to her while the Nurse went to church– Cini found Ola so much better that he said he would not come till Tuesday. I went to 3 o’cl service & then to meet Henry in Piazza. Old Mme Bentivoglio came to tea. Later Ersilia Canevaro came. Played guitar before dinner. Malcolm, Lady Galway & Mr Brown dined with us. Today is Ola’s birthday & she had a fine bouquet from Mr Malcolm. | |
