15 March 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 15th [March 1888]. Practised guitar, sat with Ola &c. Went out with Henry, left cards– At 4 fetched Ersilia & took her to Mrs Browns where we had tea & met Henry who walked from the Stabto. Maria Cozzi & the Brandolins were the only others there. When we got home we found Lady Galway just leaving our door we stopped her & made her come in & have a cup of tea– At 7.30 we dined with Trevelyans at Pal. Gritti and met M. & Mme de Pilat, & Mme de Ferro (lady to Dss of Madrid), Count D. Grimani & Count Valier & Mr Popham. The girls played & sang in eveng. | |
