25 March 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 25th [March 1888]. Miss Mackenzie & I went to the service & the room was nearly full there being about 140 people. I went again at 3 & there were about 20 people. I thence went to meet Henry who was walking in the Piazza & brought him home to tea. Ola was moved out of my bedroom into her own small room & our rooms left to air. Henry & I dined with Mme Hurtado & met the Pilats, Mr Brown & Olga Mocenigo. Our hostess was very kind but anxious & tormented her servants but the dinner was good & everything well done.
