21 April 1888 — Paris
Saturday. 21st [April 1888]. Dacre came to the hotel at 9.30 & went with us to the station & we left by 11 o’cl train. Had a perfect crossing & just as we reached Dover met Lord Aberdare who went with us to London. We arrived at 8. Maria & several of the family met Ola & carried her home & Henry & I went to 1 Queen Anne St & resumed our Derby & Joan life—parting very unwillingly with Ola. Maria came at 10 for an hour’s talk. Arthur has gone tonight to Paris to avoid Mildred’s wedding on Tuesday.
