20 April 1888 — Paris | |
Friday. 20th April [1888]. Henry had such a bad cold that he did not get up till lunch. Ola got up at 11. I gave them each their breakfasts in bed. Lady Lytton & Lady Constance came to see us at 12. At 1 we lunched & Dacre with us. Went out on foot to try on my dress at Mlle Michaud & see my bonnet & then went back to fetch Ola & took her out for a walk down the Rue St Honore for her to buy herself a bonnet. Left her to walk back alone & went on to the Louvre shop but it was such a crowd I could not get anything but a cloak for Maria & fan for self & then back to Hotel & packed up for tomorrow’s start. Henry & I dined with the Lyttons & met Mr Austin Legh & Mr Fred Austin & Mr & Mrs Francis Elliot. | |
