30 April 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Monday. 30th April [1888]. Remained in bed till luncheon. Mama came to see me—also Alice Rate. After lunch Fred Layard came to tell us their aunt Mrs Austen was worse. Henry drove out. I remained at home. Sir C. Wingfield called. Also Mrs White & Lady Elliot. Blanche returned to town & brought me primroses. Maria came in & helped me to put them up. Blanche, Edward & May Ponsonby dined with us. Mildred & Major Mansel came to call just before dinner. They are come for the night to stay at Langham House. | |
