18 May 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Friday. 18th [May 1888]. Woke with such a bad headache I had to stay in bed. Kate went for the day to Haileybury to see about the outbreak of diptheria at the school where her boy is. Connie came to see me in afternoon. I got up for dinner & Henry & I dined with Maria. Mr & Mrs Alers Hankey & Mr Gibbs & his daughter, Sir Henry & Miss Thompson were there.
