1 July 1888 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord | |
Sunday. 1st July [1888]. My 45th birthday. Leo gave me a present Ola had sent me. A photo frame. I carved wood all the morning. After lunch Henry, Fred, Rayd & I went for a walk as far as the church. Weather changing & rained a little. Dined 5. Henry fished from Friswold & got 17 lb salmon. Fred from Bjornes got 0. Post came in & brought telegram announcing Mrs Austens death on 28th (Henry’s Aunt). Fred being executor will probably have to return to England. I fished from bridge 0. | |
