12 August 1888 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Sunday. 12th August [1888]. Lovely day. Sat out of doors with Raymond & at 12 he & I walked up to the church to see Berret’s baby christened. The service was going on when we got there so we sat in the church yard & waited till the christening began & then went in & came out directly after. The ceremony seemed to me almost exactly like that of our church. Walked home & had lunch & wrote letters &c. After 5 oclock dinner I went to Bjornes & fished down. At Kirkpool I got a 5½ grilse & in Terpool 4 seatrout & lost many. Very good sport.
