16 August 1888 — Syltebo, Romsdalsfjord
Thursday. 16th August [1888]. Raymond went out shooting dalrype & brought home 2 brace. At 2 oclock we tried to net the pool at the bridge but the current was so swift that the net was carried down into Syltebo’s rest & there it stuck & the fish escaped. When the tide had risen the men went out again to try & get the net off & at last after much difficulty succeeded in doing it by tying a rope to it & hauling at it from the bridge. I fished from the bridge in the evening but got nothing. Henry killed 16 lb salmon in Up. Gredhus.
