25 September 1888 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Tuesday. 25th September [1888]. Henry, Ola & Nela Du Cane & I left London by 9.30 train for Venice. We went thro’ Paris where at the station Dacre met us & he found us cabs with some difficulty & took us across to the Gare de Lyons where we dined & went on abt 8 in the Pullman car to Culoz. Arrived there abt 6 & breakfasted & took a train on to Geneva where we arrived abt 9 AM. Went to the Eau de Geneve breakfasted & rested. Henry took Nela out. I remained in all day & sketched from my window. | |
