1 October 1888 — Baveno | |
Monday. 1st October [1888]. Got all our things packed the first thing in the morning. At 10.30 had a visit from Mr Henfrey, I walked to the church with him where we had prayers at 11. Lunch at 1. We invited Mlle de Bunsen to come & stay with us abt the 15th. Left Baveno by 4.30 steamer. Just as we were leaving found Bn & Bss Henry de Worms in the garden. They are coming on to Venice. We went to Arona & took the train to Milan. Got there about 9. Morelli was there & promises to come tomorrow morng. We had tea & went to bed. | |
