23 October 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 23rd October [1888]. Nela & I began to draw our “Still life” & did not stop till luncheon. After lunch Nela & I went for a walk leaving cards & payed a visit to Mrs Browning who is lodging at the Cà Dario & is not well & in bed. We dined at 7 & Henry took the Du Canes & Miss de Bunsen to the opera to see Nabucco & I remained at home & read & wrote. | |
