Wednesday. 14th [November 1888]. It was such a dark day that after trying to paint I had to give it up & work while Ola read aloud, Mrs Burr left for England. Sir Villiers & Lady Lister came to lunch & then Henry went out with the girls. Mrs Eden also lunched with us. Mrs Brown & Mr & Miss Childe Pemberton came to tea & later Ersilia & Maria. | |
