19 November 1888 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 19th November [1888]. Spent the whole morning marking linen with a stamp in ink. Carry came to lunch & she & I went off together to her garden & took a walk & then she brought me home. It was a lovely day. Mr Norman & Col. Goff came to tea. Sir Villiers & Lady Lister came to a farewell dinner. Mr Brown came & left directly after Lady Lister played all the evening beautifully. They leave Venice tomorrow. Mlle de Bunsen left by the 11 train this evening to go to Cannes. Our servant Luigi went to the station to see her off.
