Friday. 14th June [1889]. We dined with Sir Henry & Lady Thompson & met Sir Trevor & Lady Lawrence, Mr & Mrs DuMaurier. He is so like Alma Tadema that I shook hands with him as such & found out my mistake afterwards. They are a good deal alike & Mr DuMaurier said he was often taken for Tadema. | |
