26 July 1889 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Friday. 26th July [1889]. Woke with a headache against wh I struggled for some time– Went to lie down in Blanche’s room while Orr was packing in mine. At last I was so bad I gave up the struggle & went to bed & gave up dining at Maria’s. Henry & Blanche dined early & went to the opera to see “Otello” with Tamagno & Manrel singing. Sophy Palmer came to see me & sat sometime with me telling me much about her mothers illness & death from cancer. Maria came & then my old maid Hill came & stayed a long time talking. | |
