29 August 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 29th [August 1889]. My new maid Maria came– Arranged, put in order &c. Visit from Idita Bentivoglio & Mme Castellani after wh having a headache I retired into the dark in my bed room. Edith Bronson came to tea with me– Idita came again a little later. Mr Malcolm dined with us & leaves for La Punta at 4 tomorrow morning. I went to bed very early. Henry & Dacre went out on Piazza. | |
