28 August 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 28th August 1889. Annie & I had a busy day unpacking & arranging. Mrs Eden came to lunch & she went with Henry to the late Baron Warsberg’s house to see what is to be sold. They came back not having been able to get in. I did not go out till after 5 when we again went to S. Vio to meet Mr Scott. Returned to fetch Dacre & went to Edens’ house to dine with them. Had a visit from Mrs Bronson– Came home abt 10 very tired. | |
