12 October 1889 — Bologna | |
Saturday. 12th October [1889]. I left Bologna with the 2 servants Annie & Luigi by 11.20 train & came home to Venice. Henry remained with the 2 Du Cane girls & Eda Alderson to see the place & came on by the last train. I had a very comfortable journey & the Dames seules carriage all to myself & got in abt 3.20. On getting home I went straight to my room, rested & had tea—read & went to bed at 6.30 & dined in bed. Read all the evening till the others returned soon after 12. | |
