26 November 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 26th [November 1889]. Up after breakfast. Signor Felici came & we worked at taking out the superfluous clay from the inside of the head of my bust of Portia. He lunched with us & we finished it later. Mr Malcolm called at 3. Did not go out– Wrote, practised guitar and read aloud to Henry. Dined at 7 & Henry took the girls to the Opera. Olga Mocenigo came & spent the eveng with me & left at 11 when I retired to bed. | |
