28 December 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 28th December [1889]. Cold morning & several inches of snow on the house tops. Practised guitar—wrote letters & helped Ola to finish the sleeves of her dress. She & Eda went to the choir practise from 11 to 12 but none of us went out any more. It thawed but there was a high cold wind. Read aloud after tea to Henry. Patience after dinner. | |
