30 December 1889 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 30th [December 1889]. A miserable wet day which ended with a white fog. I did not go out. Began to draw my medal of Henry. After lunch played the guitar to Ola’s mandolin. Had a visit from P. Gagarin & then from Mr & Mrs Curtis & his old sister. Read aloud to Henry before dinner. Ola had headache & did not dine down. Patience. | |
