24 January 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 24th [January 1890]. Henry better & got up & went to write in his library after breakfast. Mr & one of the Miss Montalbas came to tea also Mme Sormani Moretti & Mr Malcolm—then Ct & Css Canevaro & Maria Cozzi & the latter went up to my studio to see Henry & condole with him on his illness. I had a headache & went to bed directly after dinner. We still dine in the Library. | |
