25 January 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 25th January [1890]. I did not get up till lunch—but Henry resumed his usual habits & got up to 9 o’cl breakfast. The girls went to see Idita in afternoon. I did not go out. Mrs Brown called. Olga Mocenigo came before dinner to see me. Mr Malcolm took the 3 girls to the Opera & they had high tea at 6– Henry & I dined up in the library. I finished reading Arthur Youngs memoirs to him & played patience. | |
