24 February 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 24th [February 1890]. When Cini came he said that Henry had got an attack of influenza & must not think of going to Vescovana but must keep his bed as his lungs were threatened. As Mrs Eden was going to Vescovana I sent to ask her to take Ola, Nela & Eda & sent them off at 1 o’cl & then returned to take care of Henry. I sat to him in the evening & dined in his room by his bed side.
