25 February 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 25th February [1890]. Henry better this morning but the Dr would not let him get up. I wrote my letters in his room & wrote some for him to his dictation—& read aloud to him to make the time pass. After lunch I went to the Eden’s garden but it was bitterly cold & I soon came back. Played patience near Henry’s bed in the evening under his superintendence. | |
