5 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 5th March [1890]. Henry was much better & got up after his breakfast & got to work in his bedroom– After lunch Carry came and I walked with her to the Arsenal to enquire after Mr Moore & she said he was better– From there we went in the gondola to Bauer Hotel & paid a formal visit to Pss Georgia as it was her “day.” Dined in Henry’s bedroom & went to the opera with Mr Malcolm to hear Stagno in Roberto il Diavolo– he sang & acted well & infused life into the whole company—applause & a full house. | |
