4 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 4th [March 1890]. Very much better & he got up abt 11 & wrote & worked a good deal. I wrote letters. Carry came after dinner & I went out with her, walked to the Arsenal & found Mme Noce received & heard that her son was in bed with rheumatic fever– The gondola joined us there & brought us home. Olga & Idita came to see me & Idita went in to see Henry. He also saw Mrs Eden. Dined both in the bed room. I read aloud after dinner & when Henry was in bed. | |
