3 March 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 3rd March [1890]. Henry had less fever but generally was very ailing & uncomfortable all day—the effect of medicine. Cini came at 10.30– Henry got up a little in the evening when he felt rather better & dined up– I read aloud Proctor’s Place among the Infinities till 9.30 when he dropped off to sleep– Mr Jameson came to see me in the afternoon abt the church & I went out after lunch to see abt ordering the font & discussed it with Mr Benuzzi– Came home to tea. Still very cold weather.
