4 May 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street | |
Sunday. 4th May [1890]. I went to see Blanche before church & went to Vere St chapel with them– There was a thick fog & it became pitch dark during the service. I did not go out again. Visit from Mr Sheppard. Henry went out to pay visits. Abt 7 Lady Gregory turned up. She had arrived this morning from Ireland to meet Sir Wm who is arriving from a tour in Ceylon. She said she was at the Langham Hotel so I insisted on her coming to stay with us wh she did. Henry & Ola dined with Maria. I went to bed at 8– Augusta Gregory went to eveng church & then came & sat with me. | |
