29 June 1890 — 1 Queen Anne Street
Sunday. 29th June [1890]. Had rather a bad night so did not get up till lunch. Kate who has been to Scotland for 10 days with Ivor came to see me after church abt 12 & sat with me till ¼ 2 when she returned to Savile Row where she is staying with Monty. I lunched downstairs & then had a quiet afternoon reading while Henry went out visiting & Ola went to church. After tea I went for a little walk with Ola & met Charlie Eliot & he went a little way with us. It had been a long day & to our surprise we were overtaken with a shower & being close to 17 Cavendish Sqr we took refuge there & Blanche came down to the library to see me—& as soon as it cleared we walked home. Henry & Ola dined at 25 Park Crescent. Kitty came to dinner with me at 7.30 & then sat with me after I got into bed– She left at 10 & I went to sleep.
