16 November 1890 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 16th [November 1890]. Splendid weather. Went to church with Mama in the morning. Gardened– Wrote letters on my return. After lunch Henry took Mama, Nela & Arthur to the Eden’s garden. I remained at home & wrote a lot of letters. Nela & Arthur went up the Campanile. Henry brought Mama home. Ruth & Ola went to tea with the Moscheles– Mr Moore came to call after tea. I read aloud to Henry before dinner. Mr Malcolm & Mr Dyer dined with us. I played the harmonium. | |
