7 February 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 7th [February 1891]. Wrote in bed & only got up for teatime & returned to bed early. Henry & Nela went to the last night of the Cavalleria at the Fenice wh was only opened for 6 nights. It was Fradin’s benefit & she was enthusiastically treated. It was a bitter day & a strong bora blowing & a very low tide. Bright sunshine. Read aloud to Henry before dinner & practised guitar. | |
