18 March 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 18th [March 1891]. I accompanied Ivor & Cor: to the station at 8 o’cl & saw them off to Milan—a very full train. Came home to breakfast & Nela sat to me while I continued her portrait. Dr Cini came to see Ola & me—& said as I was not well he thought it better to overhaul one thoro’ly & I am to send for him one day. Henry not being well did not go out & I sent again to Cini for him. I & Nela went out in gondola to pay some of Ivor’s bills for him—but it poured so heavily that we did not remain long. I read aloud to Henry & we dined upstairs in the library.
