5 April 1891 — Villa Pisani, Vescovana
Sunday. 5th April [1891]. Up at 8 breakfast in our rooms– Lunch at 11– Afterwards Henry & the 3 girls drove to Cattaio & took the tea basket with them. Henry had not seen the house & wanted to do so. The Countess had a bad cold & could not go out. I remained with her & we had a long talk while I made 110 cigarettes for Henry. At 4 we had tea & then I went round the garden but it began to drizzle soon & I came in. The others returned abt 5.30. Madge Symonds was knocked up & had to go to bed. We dined at 7. Ola & I played guitar & mandola duetts. The Countess went early to bed—we at 10.30.
