Thursday. 16th July [1891]. Kate’s boy Henry Spencer Alderson, Nela & Miss Emily Maxwell & her brother from Borneo came to luncheon. Ruth, Henry & I took a drive in afternoon & I went to see Lady Galway who had been carried down to her drawing room & was on the sofa half dressed but still very suffering. Just as I got home my sister Connie arrived & also Lady Agneta Montagu. Sir Henry Thompson also came to tea. | |
