3 October 1891 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 3rd [October 1891]. ). Wrote letters– Copied for Henry. The weather changed & rain in the night. Went out with Henry to see Rietti’s new shop in the Giustinian palace & to the Venezia & Murano to see the mosaics wh are being made. It poured & we did not stay long. Mr George Dennis came to lunch. Henry went to the station to meet the Bishop of Gibraltar & Mrs Sandford who came to stay with us & arrived from Milan at 6.30. There was a thunderstorm going on when they came. | |
