Friday. 18th [March 1892]. Ola & I had a busy morning gardening repotting sowing seeds &c– I went out with Henry in gondola. We went to Mr Fisher’s studio to see the pictures he is sending to our R. Academy—a caffe overhanging the water—moonlight & chinese lantern light. Clever but not pleasant. We had our mandoline band practise & worked steadily from 9 till nearly 12– | |
