30 March 1892 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 30th [March 1892]. A letter from Nela saying she is coming with Mrs White. It poured all day. I washed my hair in morning. Did not go out. Maria Cozzi came to tea. Henry & I dined at the Palace with the D. & Dss of Genoa—met the Belmondo Caccias & the household Ct St Amboise, Css Radicati di Brozolo, Ct Moriondo, Ct Gui, & Genl Billia & his ADC Capt. Baffo. I sat on the Duke’s right—Henry ditto the Dss. After dinner wh was good & short we played pool billiards the whole party. The Dss was in very good spirits. We played 3 games & at 11 H RR HH retired & let us go home. Weather seems a little improving.
